This describes what JEMA Move collects, why, and who can see it. It describes the system as it is actually built.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • The addresses you save and the addresses of your pickups.
  • The photographs and video you take of what’s going.
  • Your messages with your hauler.
  • Payment records — never the card number, which we cannot see.

Card details

Card details are entered inside the payment processor’s own page, in their own frame. They never reach JEMA Move. Nothing in our systems has a field that could hold a card number, and our tests fail if one appears. What we keep is the brand, the last four digits and the expiry, so you can recognise a card.

Photographs of your home

Your pickup photographs are stored privately. They are readable by you, by the hauler who holds the job, by a hauler deciding whether to quote on it — because judging volume and access is what the photographs are for — and by staff who are already entitled to see the job. Nobody else, including anybody who guesses a URL. Every image is fetched through a short-lived, signed link minted for that one request.

Your messages

Messages between a customer and their hauler — and the photos and voice notes in them — are readable by the two of you and by JEMA Move staff who are entitled to see the job, so we can support a pickup, settle a dispute and keep the platform safe. Staff can read a conversation but cannot write in it, and each time one is opened it is recorded.

The hauler community

If you post in the hauler community, your posts and replies are shown to other approved haulers with your first name and the first letter of your last name, and can be read by authorised JEMA Move staff.

Feedback

Feedback you send from the app is read by the JEMA Move team, together with your app version and the type of device you use.

How the service is used

We look at how the service is used — for example, how many requests are booked — in aggregate, to improve JEMA Move.

Identity documents

If you apply to haul, the photographs of your ID and your selfie go to a store with no row-level access policy at all — nothing holding an ordinary session can read a byte of them. They are opened only by an authorized JEMA Move reviewer, who must have a specific permission and re-confirm who they are first, and that confirmation expires.

There is no facial recognition, no similarity score and no automatic approval anywhere in this. A person looks and decides.

Withdrawing a hauler application

Withdrawing is not the same as leaving it dormant. Every answer you gave — legal name, date of birth, home address, licence plate, insurance certificate — is removed, and the vehicle photographs and documents are destroyed rather than merely unlinked. What survives is the record that an application existed and was withdrawn, which is an audit trail and prefills nothing.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Sign-in & security. Completed jobs and their payment records are kept for accounting and legal reasons; your profile, addresses and messages go.

Who we share with

The hauler on your job sees what they need to do it — your address, your access notes, your photographs and your messages. Our payment processor handles the card. We do not sell anything to anybody.

Location

A pickup address is turned into a coordinate so we can work out which area it’s in and which haulers are near. Haulers browsing open work see a rounded coordinate and no street address until the job is theirs.
